The left sketch is the humble home of a humble wood cutter who just happens to have a magic axe which can cut down trees in a single chop... but only if the tree is ready to die. She lives in the WaterVault.
The center image is the aqueduct which connects the WaterVault to the city of Sarifer, which south on the plain below the foothills of the Karzkas Mountains. It was built after an earthshake caused the formerly reliable River Wendolyn to dry up every summer. It enters the city at the WaterGate (north)
The right picture is the SeaGate (east)of Sarifer. It is the main gate leading to the major trading port city Adaron. All the best houses have been built for centuries along the inner wall facing the road coming up the gently sloping plain road, where the rich could watch the wagons bringing them even more riches.

*eyes boggle*

You must be a very patient person to draw this. I really like it, especially the wood cutters house, I think the trees are great, and the aqueduct is also very good, i like the way you included the rocks, it looks great 2 well done, nice work

:-) D. Brent O'Gara replies: "Each of these took about an hour to draw, while I was supposed to be paying attention to other things. The wood-cutters home took a bit longer, about and hour and a half."

Great pen and ink work. Love the sketches of the archetecture.
Wish I could come up with such detail and creativity.

wow, I am very impressived Brent, this looks very nice, but color would make it look so awesome. this triptych ctyle of landscape looks so interesting, and those places. What a great travel brochure this would make. I am tempted to try some purely fantasy landscapes like this myself.

:-) D. Brent O'Gara replies: "yeah, If I were better at color I might try to do that, but I'm afraid of messing them up. Pure fantasy landcapes are fun."
